Working with the Department of Equity was my first internship. I had the opportunity to deepen my understanding of the services offered to support equity work in the Saint Paul Public Schools District. By working with this team, I learned the processes used for assessing, planning, coordinating, and responding to stakeholders' equity needs while also supporting transformational leadership development. 

Though my experience mainly involved shadowing team members and fully participating in the team meeting discussions to learn about the department, I had three tasks. Update the department's 20-21 calendar, develop a foundational training framework that aligns with the services this department is responsible for, and review a data-collecting tool to assess student leadership groups' existence and function at school sites were the three.
